During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Karyzma Kares Foundation held an event to support five women who, after completing a domestic violence awareness program, were preparing to rejoin the workforce.
Early in 2021, Karyzma Kares organized a clothing drive to support these beautiful women. Tons of clothing was collected. Donated items included new and gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories. We held a "Day of Pampering" where we provided full body makeovers; hair, facials, make-up, manicure and pedicure services.
The Founder also selected 3 outfits for each participant of which a complete body makeover and a photo shoot ensued. Footage of the makeovers and the photo shoot were provided to the women for their personal use.
The women were also provided breakfast, lunch and dinner. To cap off the day, presentations were given by Kesha Trotter, Founder of "Daddy's Girl Revolution" on the topic of "A Women's Worth" and Tam Hush Lee, "Founder of Hush Boutique" provided "Fashion, Health and Beauty Tips".
Founder and personal stylist Priscilla Cooke selected five outfits for each woman from the clothing collected. The ladies later enjoyed a shopping spree, mani-pedi, makeup, hair styling, and a photo shoot.
The remainder of the clothing was donated to “A Wider Circle,” a non-profit organization helping families achieve safety, stability, and comfort.
The event also provided breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a presentation on “Domestic Violence Awareness.” The women were so excited, grateful for the experience and thankful for the kindness of the community.
